More than 100 protesters detained in Berlin
More than a hundred protesters against quarantine measures imposed by the German authorities in connection with the threat of a coronavirus epidemic were detained by the police in Berlin. This is reported on April 25 by Die Welt. The rally is now completely dispersed and the detainees have been taken to the police station for further proceedings. The action took place near the Berlin People's Theatre building on Rosa Luxembourg Square and was not authorized by the city authorities. According to the latest data, about a thousand people took part in it, including representatives of various political currents and various alternative media. In particular, representatives of right-wing populist political movements, as well as the notorious journalist Ken Yebsen in Germany, were seen among the demonstrators. The police sealed off the area near the theatre, preventing new demonstrators from joining the action, and using loudspeakers called on the assembly to disperse in connection with the ban on mass meetings due to the quarantine regime. Earlier, the news agency reported an unauthorized protest against quarantine measures taken by the authorities due to the threat of coronavirus in the German capital city of Berlin.
