Ban Ki-moon addressed Koreans from around the world

An appeal to ethnic Koreans living in different countries of the world was made by the former Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Ban Ki-moon. The video was published on the Youtoube channel The island of Koryo-Saram (Koryo-Saram Island). Ban Ki-moon conveyed words of gratitude and support to Koreans living today in Korea and in other countries of the world and noted that Koreans, despite different citizenship and different places of residence, should unite. According to Ban Ki-moon, Koreans in different countries are always active in different industries, seeking respect and honor from other citizens in their country of residence. The politician noted that South Korea was able to gain world recognition, reaching a high level in a short time. Even during the difficult period of the pandemic, South Korea was able to become an example for many countries by successfully coping with the outbreak of the disease. In conclusion, Ban Ki-moon wished all Koreans a world of happiness, fulfillment of desires and a happy future for children. Recall that Ban Ki-moon served as UN Secretary General from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2016. Before becoming UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon worked for a long time in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of South Korea, and from January 2004 to December 2006 he headed the country's Foreign Ministry. Currently heads the National Council on Climate and Air Quality and directly deals with environmental problems.
