Black characters Simpsons will no longer be voiced by white actors
White actors will no longer voice the black characters of the popular Simpsons animated series. This was announced on June 27 by the Comicbook portal. This decision was made by Fox, with a corresponding statement she made on June 26, 2020. Thus, the creators of the series followed the example of the producers of the show Griffin, Central Park and Big Mouth. In January 2020, actor Hank Azaria refused to continue to voice the character Apu Nahasapimapetilon in the Simpsons series. The actor did not give the reasons for his decision, but hinted that this could be due to the scandalous film Problem Apu, the author of which accused the producers of the show of creating stereotypes regarding immigrants from India.
