70% of Japanese will continue to work remotely


On Sunday, July 26, Japanese Economy Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura announced the government's decision to require companies to have at least 70% of employees work from home, The Japan Times reported. The minister also noted that if earlier the share of people traveling to work daily was 20% -30%, now this figure has increased again and amounts to 70%. Companies should not roll back to the old indicators, but continue to use remote ways of working said the official. Yasutoshi Nishimura recalled the need to comply with precautionary measures and asked the heads of companies to encourage employees to use the contact tracking application released by the Ministry of Health of Japan. According to the minister, this week the government will hold a meeting with experts on the epidemiological situation. In addition, a meeting with experts is scheduled for August 5 to analyze the results of the state of emergency imposed in Japan from early April to the end of May.
