The court suspended the activities of the US military in Colombia
A Colombian court suspended a group of US military personnel in the country until approved by the Senate. This was reported on July 2 by the newspaper El Tiempo. According to the publication, the decision obliging President Ivan Duque to suspend all activities of the US military in Colombia for the next two days was made by the administrative court of the metropolitan department of Cundinamarca. The verdict of the court also orders the president to send to the Senate (upper house of parliament) all information related to the arrival in the country of US troops and their activities. Recall that in early June, a group of American military personnel arrived in Colombia to help combat drug trafficking (training and advice). According to the news agency, law enforcement officers seized 1.2 tons of cocaine at the port of Cartagena in northern Colombia. A shipment of drugs, estimated at $73 million, was hidden in a cargo container that was supposed to go to Germany. See also: Media: Trump called the cool idea of invading Venezuela
