Second non-oil cargo exported from Iranian port to Oman

On August 2, the governor of the Iranian port, Sirik Ahmad Jamaleddini, announced that the second batch of non-oil goods was exported from a multi-purpose port to Oman. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Jamaleddini noted that a second cargo with a carrying capacity of 22 tons was sent to Oman, including mineral water, nuts and fruits worth 356 thousand dollars. The first cargo with a carrying capacity of 120 tons, which included mineral water and nuts, was sent to Oman on June 2, 2020, he recalled. Jamaleddini confirmed that the port of Sirik has many advantages due to its proximity to the Gulf countries, its strategic position and the ability to provide livelihood for the inhabitants of the region, which can improve the well-being of people. Sirik is a city of 45,000 people, located 60 km east of Minab and 165 km from Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan province.
