Latvian government plans to increase AirBaltic capital by 150 million euros
The Government of Latvia conceptually supported the decision to increase the fixed capital of the airline by AirBaltic 150 million euros. This is written by the Tvnet.lv portal. According to journalists, funds are allocated to help overcome the national air carrier the consequences of the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Let's remind, earlier the CEO of Airbaltic Martinsch Gauss announced plans of reduction of 700 employees of the company. Last year the airline's losses amounted to 7.7 million euros. According to the news agency, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from 13 March to 14 April due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
