Turkish hotels promised not to increase prices this season
Prices for holidays in hotels in Turkey after Russia resumed aviation with this country will remain at the level of last year. This was announced on August 2 by the head of the Turkish hoteliers federation Sururi Charabatyr, RIA Novosti quoted him as saying. Current prices are spelled out in contracts with tour operators concluded in 2019, and they continue to operate. Prices will not rise, he said. The head of the federation also emphasized that there will be no increase in prices in Turkish hotels, despite the fact that the country's hotels have increased their costs due to security measures associated with reducing the risk of the spread of coronavirus. Some hotels even go to lower prices in order to attract customers, Chorabatyr emphasized. In addition, he spoke about the support of the country's authorities for this sector of the economy and did not make forecasts on the number of Russian tourists that Turkey will receive this year, noting that the country is a priority for tourists from many countries, including Russia. At the same time, the head of the federation said that due to security measures related to the pandemic, food standards have been changed and now staff are laying out food in plates on the buffet, the use of protective masks, disinfectants and markings to observe a safe distance is also provided. In addition, Çorabatır indicated that Turkish hotels will continue to operate even if coronavirus infections are detected from the territory, as hotel staff are instructed how to act in this situation. Special isolation rooms are equipped, information is immediately sent to the Ministry of Health, and then everyone operates according to the developed scheme in accordance with the hotel certification program, while the remaining tourists continue to relax calmly, the head of the Turkish hoteliers federation explained. Note, as reported by the news agency, earlier it became known that from August 1, Russia resumed aviation communication with Turkey, Great Britain and Tanzania.
