Lithuania reduces time of coronavirus hotline

The Unified Service for Assistance in Suspected Coronavirus Infection in Lithuania does 1808 stop working 24 hours a day, the correspondent news agency reports. This was announced today, April 27, at a press conference about the situation around the spread of coronavirus infection in the country by Lithuanian Health Minister Aurelius Veriga. According to the official, it is decided to reduce the time of operation of the hotline due to the reduction of appeals. The hotline about the virus will work slightly less. Will not act at night, will work from 8 am to 23 pm. Such a decision is made because calls at night are very rare, keeping volunteers and consultants simply makes no sense, the Minister said. The total number of people infected in Lithuania reached 1,449, 43 people died from complications caused by COVID-19, 474 recovered. Daily growth of new infected remains extremely low, in Lithuania gradually mitigate quarantine conditions.
